“Fabric Inked Afro” by Unicia R. Buster

I am starting a new echo-line drawing project featuring mostly quilts. I wanted to try my drawings on fabric. To begin, I tested several different brands on white muslin – which I will use for my drawings. I did it on a small piece of fabric and quickly drew an Afro while I was at it. I can’t wait to begin this new chapter. “Introducing the world-renown artist, Unicia R. Buster.”

“Stained” is my favorite but it runs out of ink fast. The fabric absorbs the ink like paint without the bleed. I also like “Marvy Uchida” as well. They come in many different tips and last longer. I tried others which you can’t really see on this piece of fabric. One was a fabric paint pen in which the paint set on top of the fabric rather than being absorbed.
