Art Afro #321 – “Afro Graduation” by Unicia R. Buster – June 11, 2016

“Afro Graduation” by Unicia R. Buster

My second cousin, whom I always will think of as My Macky-Makia graduated from high school on Saturday morning. Even though I was not a part of her life for the last 8 years, I will always remember the times when I used to keep her on the weekends and all the fun adventures we had. She was willing to do anything. We went to festivals, art shows, restaurants, parks, and sometimes just hung out at grandma’s (her great-grandma) house. I remember when I taped off about 4 feet of wall, gave her some paint, and let her go for it. I kept her mural up for 5 years before I repainted the living room. She knew all of my friends and their kids. She proudly performed with me in several dances at my praise dance concert at my church. I still have that on DVD. I will always love her to pieces. She is now moving on to the next chapter of her life. And I am excited for the great future she has ahead of her.

This is another Quick Memo App drawing.
