“Afro Plant Life” by Unicia R. Buster

I thought I felt a little better and actually tried to go to work. Insane, I know. I did need some fresh air though. I set out on my stoop late in the afternoon and started picking clovers out of my garden (actually, out of the crack in the sidewalk by my feet). I looked at them and realized they were perfect for an Afro. I picked a few buttercups and some other weed, and azalea flowers for a splash of color and headed in to glue my Afro together. It took a lot longer than I’d anticipated and I crashed right after. Boy! What we would do for art!
