The makers of Mod Podge created molds for using low-temp glue guns to make embellishments. They sell the molds and the glue sticks separately. I just had to give it a try, of course. The only downside is that you have to wait 10 minutes for the molds to dry before you can paint them and add them to your project. I don’t know how feasible that would be in a group setting, but definitely for a one-on-one session. I used different flower molds to create these embellishments. And, of course, I glued them on my project (we painted treasure boxes) in the shape of an Afro. I did not get a chance to paint them so this is what the glue looks like dry. I tried one with regular hot glue gun sticks (which dries clear) and it came out fine once painted (not shown).
