Two hundred days! I can’t believe it. I stuck with something for 200 days. Only 165 to go – which still seems like a like, but it’s less than 200. I am finding more confidence in my life to stick to other things as well, knowing that I can stay motivated consecutively for long periods of time. I am now on day 16 of my Life Diet – changing my bad eating habits to good ones for the rest of my life. I decided to give up high fat foods and junk food cold turkey for at least 30 days to get used to not eating a sugar-heavy diet. I have been craving like crazy but I’ve also been determined not to slip by taking it one day at a time – just like with my Afros.I’m proud of myself. I went to a reception for a lecture and passed on everything except the carrots. I also went to a coworkers small birthday gathering and passed on the cake. There have been other things as well in the pass 16 days, like packing chips for my son’s lunch and pouring him freshly made Kool-Aid.
At any rate, last night, I had fun with light play – again. Trying to create an Afro by swirling a camera around set on the lowest ISO setting it has – 80 – is hilarious at best. No I don’t have an SLR, unfortunately. I wish. But I worked with what I had. These four were the closest to looking like a head with an Afro.
