Art Afro #84 – “An Afro Trade” by Unicia R. Buster – October 18, 2015

“An Afro Trade” by Unicia R. Buster

Admitting that I have a habit of drawing in church has shown me how much – or little – I pay attention. However, I drew this drawing in church. Afterwards, I hung out at one of my aunt’s house with my mom. We were going through her collection of wigs and she was showing my mother an Afro wig. Of course, I got excited because, as you may or may not know, I have locs. Since this was my #CreativeSprint for the day:

Day 18

Make something and trade it for something you want.

I made a trade with my aunt of the drawing I did in church for the wig. I will be wearing it for Halloween as Pam Grier – maybe.

  1. Hi, Unicia! I’ve occasionally followed along as you post daily afros. As a fellow artist, I love the idea of “trading” your drawing of an afro for your aunt’s afro wig. It’s becoming. I also love the prompts. Best wishes as you keep making the afro art. 🙂
