As work life gets more and more busy and chaotic, my me-time seems to be less and less. I try hard to give myself the space to create, but lately it’s been rushed and sought of last minute because I’m exhausted by the time I get home. I muster up what energy I have left to make dinner, help with homework and prepare for bed. At any rate, my Afros and #CreativeSprint ideas always falls to what-can-I-do-in-less-than-15-minutes projects. I really wish it were more but so many things seem to take priority during the week and in some cases, the weekend.
Make something that combines two things that are not usually found together.
For some reason, I couldn’t think of anything. Then my mom and I got to talking about our animals and she suggested putting our pet Hamster, AJ, on top of our pet lizard, Asa – two things that definitely are not found together. They don’t even live in the same climate. However, that would not have worked out so well since our little escape artist – he’s escaped his cage at least 6 times – never keeps still. And since I didn’t want to do a Photoshop thing again, I came up with the idea of giving Asa hair. And if I was going to go as far as giving him/her hair, why not an Afro – duh. After giving him hair, if looks could kill…. However, he kept still long enough for me take a few pics. This was the best one.
