I took some rope – more like cording/piping – and a pair of scissors to find a place to create an Afro in the grass. My son wanted to go to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (in Richmond, Va.) after church. While there, I saw a nice patch of grass that I pictured doing an enormous Afro head. Didn’t quite turn out like I expected. I needed a lot more rope – at least 10 spools of it and I only had one. Also, the rope color blended in with the not-so-green grass. But, I did what I could.

Arranged rope on grass.
